Hello, I’m Videl, a passionate advocate for inclusivity and authenticity in gender identity. I’m the coiner of Verigender, a framework that transcends the binary concepts of cisgender and transgender, providing a universal term for one’s authentic gender identity. My work focuses on challenging colonial and binary systems, promoting the decolonization of gender, and fostering understanding of diverse identities.

My Contributions

• Verigender Framework: A universal term for authentic gender identity, emphasizing inclusivity, fluidity, and self-discovery.
• Gender Authenticity Misalignment (GAM): A term addressing the external misalignment between an individual’s Verigender and societal, physical, or structural factors.
• Gender Alignment Process (GAP): A non-linear journey of aligning external realities with one’s Verigender.
• Initial Designation (ID): A neutral alternative to AMAB/AFAB, acknowledging the arbitrary nature of birth assignments.
• Colonial Gender System (CGS): A framework identifying the historical imposition of binary gender categories by colonial powers.
