S-AIAB

S-AIAB (self-assigned intersex at birth), also known as S-AXAB (self-assigned X at birth) is a term for those who self-assign as being assigned intersex/X at birth, even if that wasn't what their actual assigned sex was. It was coined as exclusive to intersex individuals.[1]

The AFAB counterpart is S-AFAB, and the AMAB is S-AMAB.[1]

Common Definitions

a term for intersex people to designate their own sex at birth as intersex or X. this could be in conjunction with the sex they were coercively assigned at birth or in conflict with it.
