AGAB Non-Conforming, often abbreviated to ANC, is a label for those who do not conform to traditional AGAB labels, which could mean they use AGAB labels in an atypical way, such as AMAB cis women or AFAB transfems, or that they reject their AGAB and have assigned themselves a different one. AGAB non-conformity is about rejecting the gender one was initially assigned at birth in favor of the one they really are. It is a very broad label, and some examples of AGAB Non-Conforming individuals include:

  • AMAB transmascs, UAB transmascs, AXAB transmascs, AIAB transmascs, etc.
  • AFAB transfems, AXAB transfems, UAB transfems, AIAB transfems, AMAB & AFAB transfems.
  • AFAB cis men, AMAB cis women, AXAB cis men, UAB cis women, etc.
  • Neo AGABs

The opposite of ANC is AC (AGAB-conforming).

Common Definitions

the non-conformity is in reference to the use of transmasc/transfem. Those terms are traditionally associated with specific genders assigned at birth, so if someone identifies with the “opposite” term for their AGAB, that is non-conforming.
