Genregender is a fictigender identity in which one's gender is related to certain genre(s) of writing in some way. It is also an umbrella term for any generic genregender identity, such as fantagender and scifigender, literary subgender examples.

Similar to bookgender, it's about literature's genres, but not to music, film/television/movie, and video game genres, since there are already terms for them, such as moviegender, showgender, musigender, and gamegender.

History

Genregender was coined on February 5, 2019 by mogai-and-me via Beyond-MOGAI-Pride-Flags.[1] The flag was created on February 6, 2019 by Arco-Pluris on Beyond-MOGAI-Pride-Flags.[2]
