Typogender is a xenogender identity in which one's gender is connected to typos, misspellings, and other text or writing mistakes.[1][2]

Related pronouns can be found here; an individual may or may not choose to use a given pronoun set(s) with intentional misspellings.

History

The original and updated typogeneder flags were designed by LGBTQIA+ Wiki user BubbyAurora, respectively, before January 26, 2021, and on March 23, 2021.[1] On these flags, black and white represent text colors, and red represents the red underline that appears under misspelled words.[2] The alternate flag was created by Pinterest user YearofExperience on May 14, 2025.[3]
