Intercidogender is a gender that falls between other genders, but is neither of the genders it falls between, nor a mixture of them, rather a separate gender.

Examples of this include:

A gender separated from others could also be seen as an auingender, as in autonomique/autonomous in nature. Usually, a gender that references directly a binary gender is called midbinary, but some self-determine their experiences as totally abinary while still relating to having an identity that does rely on concepts or archetypes connected or similar to binary-related genders, such as ideogenders. Generally, mingenders and fingenders are described as non-binary experiences, therefore anything distinct referencing them could be not midbinary anymore, intrapersonally depending on self-consciousness.

Although intercidogender is a recent conceptualization, androgyne was largely used as an unique and distinct gender totally transcended and separated from the binaries and it still is, even there always being popular differentiations between androgyne and other identities.

A zerogender person experiencing a neutral spore state could be mathematically metaphorized as in between positive and negative states, referencing eugenders and antigenders/ungenders, while still not going through genderlessness. But intercidogender isn't essentially applied as its gender state is not necessarily its own gender, hence falling between their eugender and antigender.[1]

History

Intercidogender was coined at April 26, 2021 by Tumblr user gendersylvestrium (Mason/Fleurino/Floro). The prefix comes from Latin “intercido”, meaning "I fall between".[2]
