Aspecgender is when one's gender is their aspec identity, or when their aspec identity is tied to their gender in some way.

It is a type of orientationgender.

Common Definition

An orientationgender where your gender is affected by, or literally is, your a-spec identity.

It is umbrella term for other genders such as acegender, arogender, aroacegender, and genderdemi.

The aspecgender flag was made by Tumblr user mourningmogaicrew. The stripe meanings are "black for nonattraction, gray for a- spec/atypical attraction, light gray for your orientation and gender being related, green for aro-spec people, teal for apl/aqpl/other atertiary-spec people, and purple for ace-spec people."

History

Subsets of aspecgender, especially ace- and arogender[4], have been around for several years. The first official mention of aspecgender was on February 11th, 2022 by Tumblr user mourningmogaicrew.[1]
