Neogender is a label used to describe any gender identity that was coined recently, usually described as a gender that was coined in the 2000s, or after the year 2000. Many people have mistaken this label as a Xenogender, but it is a completely different thing. The "neo-" in the name meaning "new". It is possible for many xenogenders to be labeled as neogenders, but it does not mean neogender itself is a xenogender.

The neogender flag has unknown color meanings, but the colors in it are said to all be typically "non-gendered colors".
History
The term neogender was originally coined by Tumblr user lgbtqiarchive around May 25, 2019. The term was later elaborated by MM at Mogai-Wiki on October 20, 2020, adding the specific "after 2000s" meaning. Around the same date of the new term, the green and yellow flags were created.
