Not!Gender, also known as notgender, is a xenogender identity in which one's gender has been replaced by something with a somewhat of a similar nature to gender, often accompanied by a lack of gender.

Not!Gender represents something humans would define as gender at first glance, but something is slightly off; humans have trouble understanding it because not!gender often isn't human in nature. Not!Gender is anything that isn't gender, but a similar property. This concept is similar to the cryptid "not deer" or "not a deer", hence the alternate names notadeergender and notagender. One who uses one of these alternate names may identify specifically with the "not deer" concept.

Entitygender and entgender are alternate terms typically used for cryptid or eldritch horror-related versions of not!gender; for example, if one not only feels that their true gender pretends to be something it is not, but that its true, ungendered form, is abjectly horrifying or uncanny in nature. Some may prefer entitygender because it pays homage to the nonhuman aspect of the term.

Subsets

Not!Flux

Not!Flux, or not!genderflux, may feel like the person has a gender at first, but over time it degrades until it is clear it is a different thing that was only masking as gender. For example, someone may start the day feeling mostly like a girl, but by the end of the day their gender "reveals itself" and shows that the person was actually not!gender.

Entityflux

Very similar to not!flux; however, one prefers the entitygender label over not!gender and uses it instead.

DemiEnt

A combination of demigender and entitygender; one's gender is partially entitygender.

Entityfluid

A combination of genderfluid and entitygender. One's gender may feel fluid between nonhuman-concept genders.
