Maverism is an ideology similar to feminism, masculinism, and nonbinarism that focuses on obtaining rights and recognition for maveriques and other abinary people.

A maverist is someone who adheres to said ideology. Maverism goes hand in hand with nonbinarism and abinarism, as it is a very similar movement.[1]

Principles

  • Calling out and acknowledging binary/adjacent privilege
  • Treating nonbinary genders with the same respect and dignity as binary ones
  • Uplifting the most marginalized nonbinary people among us (including intersectionally)
  • Respecting nonbinary language
  • Fighting against erasure
