Amareumbrium is a xenogender identity in which ones gender is or is connected to an intense love of the moon, the longing and/or yearning for something happening in the moonlight, and/or the yearning and/or longing for something happening to the moon itself. One's gender may be described as fuzzy, warm and euphoric.

Amareumbrium may be considered a neurogender by some if one's gender feels this way due to neurodivergence; however, it is not exclusive to anyone, meaning that anyone can use this term.

Etymology

The gender's name comes from the Latin word for love (amare) added to the Latin word for shadow (umbra).
