Himbo

A himbo refers to a physically attractive man who is unintelligent or airheaded. Otherwise, it can refer to a muscular or physically strong man who is also unintelligent. Typical usage often combines the two.

The term 'himbo' originates from the combination of the pronoun "him" and the term "bimbo."

History & Usage

While the term 'himbo' itself does not have queer roots, it is commonly used in queer spaces and gay subculture. Though it is not unheard of for the term to be used in a derogatory manner, many reclaim it and use it through a positive lens. A few have said it is ablest to men, but it doesn't have to be seen in that light.
