History

Concegender was coined on December 3rd, 2020, by user MintystarRos81/Dami.yellowlaces on Gender Wiki.[citation needed] The flag was created by FANDOM user, GenderfluidBiGirl/StarFruit110, around December 8th of that same year.[1]

An alternate flag was made by CandySkyez on January 17th, 2022.[2] Then on June 6th, ConfusedAsHecc created their own version of the flag.[3][4]

On August 21st, 2023, Jell-O-Mel created two alternative flags on Reddit.[5][6]

Flags

The concegender flag by FANDOM user GenderfluidBiGirl.[1] The flag shares similar colors to the genderfluid flag, to represent genderfluidity. It is unknown what all the stripes mean on the flag. What is known however is that the green stripe represent how one has to concentration to figure out which gender they are in that moment.

The first alternative flag by CandySkyez is very different compared to the orgininal. The pink, blue, and purple represent varying fluid gender identities, white represents difficulty making them out, and orange represents change.[2]

ConfusedAsHecc's alternative flag closely resembels the original concegender flag. It maintains its style while "trying to be less harsh on the eyes" according to the user. The meaning behind the colors is unclear as of this moment.[3][4]

On the other hand Jell-O-Mel's alternative flags decide to change up its style. Despite utilizing similar colors, they are different hues. The colors in both varients mean the same thing. Blues are for masculinity and miaspec genders, pink is for femiminity and fiaspec genders, the cyan is for the need to concentrate and confusion, and the dark purple for androyny and non-binary genders. In Jell-O-Mel’s first alternative flag, the orange represents fluidity of gender. In the second one, the lighter shades of blue and pink represent fluctuation in intensity of gender.
