Cis-Genderless Flag
Cis-Genderless Flag

Cis-genderless, Cisgenderless, or Cis By Default is when one defaults to one's assigned gender due to a lack of gendered feeling, and occasionally the lack of understanding on how it feels or is like to have a gender. It is similar in experience to agender, genderless, and cassgender.

Cis-genderless individuals may not understand the idea of having a "gender identity" that exists apart from one's physical sex or social gender roles. Despite identifying themself as their assigned gender, they may not be aligned with or understand concepts such as "manhood" or "womanhood." Cis-genderless individuals tend to have little to no dysphoria regarding their assigned sex.

For example, an AMAB cis-genderless person will identify themselves as male because they are biologically, physically, and generally perceived as male, though not for anything else.

History

Cis-genderless was coined by AVEN user R_1 on April 21, 2013.

Flag
