Cis by Default is the theory that some people are cis only because they don’t experience gender dysphoria. These people do not feel any gender euphoria about their assigned gender, but they take no issue with it either. This theory goes on to posit this may be why transphobic cis people complain that they don’t understand how one can “feel like a woman” or “feel like a man,” because they don’t experience a strong gender identity.
