Canaric is an umbrella term in which one's gender is connected or related to the metaphor of a canary in a coal mine. The gender feels like it’s trapped, like it’s a bad omen and it’s meant to warn others but will never survive itself. It sings to try to comfort or soothe people it feels close too, even in the darkness.
The "canary" might be afraid of what’s coming, it might wish to escape and be free, or it might find pride and purpose in being the first to go in and saving people. They aren’t the one who’s going to make it out alive though, since they’re the canary, never the miner.
Canarin means canaric-in-nature, canarine is the equivalent of feminine/masculine/androgyny, canary is the equivilant of man/woman, nestling is the equivalent of boy/girl, and canarynes is the term for genders under the canaric umbrella.[1]
