Wifgender

Wifgender is a term for those that are women that are also binary, or people that are very close to being a binary woman. This term is not exclusive to cisgender individuals.

The equivalent for binary men is wergender.

Etymology

The term comes from the Middle English word wifman, which means the same thing as woman does now.

History

The term was coined by Tumblr user acro-pluris on August 21, 2018. However, there was no flag included in the coining post. An alt flag was coined by Fandom user XxBagelxX on October 19, 2025.
