Virgender is zodiacgender identity based on the constellation Virgo. It is described as being a gender identity that is practically or partially agender. This usually happens when it is too stressful or difficult to have a gender; therefore this gender may be temporary, as it could change when the stress/difficulty passes.

Virgender may be considered to be under the mutogender umbrella.

Flags

The virgender flag was designed by Tumblr user pridearchive on July 13th, 2014 .[2]

The colors mean the following: Red symbolizes stress. White represents relaxation. Black represents a lack of gender. The red stripes lighten as one goes down the flag to symbolize increasing stress and the weakening of one's gender, until it reaches white ("relaxation"). The white transitions to grey and then to black to symbolize the complete lack of gender.

The alternate virgender flag was designed by Tumblr user pride-color-schemes on July 31, 2016.[3]

The colors on this design mean the following:

  • Red: "To symbolize the stress/difficulty in having a gender"
  • White: "An amalgamation of all genders"
  • Black: "Genderless"

The color gradients on this flag symbolize similar things to the first design, except for the red-to-white gradient now symbolizing how "the individual is relieved of the stress of keeping up with one’s gender", instead of increasing stress and simultaneous weakening of one's gender.
