Singularian
Not to be confused with voidrian.
Singularian, also known as voidarian, is a non-binary identity in the galactian alignment system in which one completely rejects alignment to either binary gender. It cannot be combined with any other galactian alignment (except in the cases of universian and ringularian), as it exists on a completely separate plane from them. This is what makes it distinct from stellarian, which is also a rejection of alignment, but can be combined with other alignments.[2] Singularian is also distinct from boötian, as boötian is just a lack of alignment, not a rejection of it.[3]

(Singularian/Singulaian/Singularic) There are two definitions for singularity: the state, fact, quality, or condition of being singular; and a point at which a function takes an infinite value, especially in space-time when matter is infinitely dense, as at the center of a black hole. The name already implies exactly how singular the identity is, and that’s useful, as pretty and aesthetically pleasing as voidian/voidarian/voidic sound, and besides, gendervoid is already an identity. (Although, ironically, it would likely be able to fit under singularianism.) Some people have asked me, “how is stellarian any different? the whole point of a stellunaric identity is to reject alignment, right?” Yes, and no. I see stellarianism as more of a neutral ground. Think of the structure of an atom; there are protons with a positive charge, electrons with a negative charge, and neutrons, which have no charge at all, and most importantly, are able to coexist with particles that do have charges. This comes especially in handy for bigender/trigender/etc. people who have one static gender and one fluid and/or flux gender. Singularianism, by definition, cannot have ties to other gender identities or alignments. It’s not neutral, either; it can only be described on a plane of existence entirely separate from the gender binary, galactian trinary, or what-have-you. If you identify as singularian, you reject any and all ties to binary genders without exception. I haven’t exactly worked out the whole mechanic of this identity yet, but I’d say it’s possible to be singularflux and not singularfluid, or if singularfluid, perhaps only ever fluid between singularianism and stellunarianism–again, I’m not sure if that’s how things are going to work, I know some people will not be satisfied with a term that can bend itself a little in any way. I’m just not sure how much this term should/shouldn’t accommodate those people yet. I really do like voidian/voidarian/voidic, though, and I think those can be more aesthetic-related terms that fit under the umbrella of singularianism. This wouldn’t technically be one of the galactian alignments; I’m going to call it the galactian anomaly, or galactian field in case the first one implies singularian identities are “weird” or “abnormal.” Use whichever one you prefer. It keeps the entire galactian system rooted down firmly in the concept of alignment, and at the same time, cannot be defined by any of its sibling identities’ rules. |
