The porogender flag

Porogender is a term for a gender experience that is specific and/or particular.[1] It is not vague, uncertain, or in a grey area of identities. This label is classified as a gender modifier and is commonly accompanied by another label but can be used on its own if desired.

Etymology

"Poro" comes from the Ancient Greek root of poros, meaning "passage" or "passing through" (like a pore). It was modified to become poro-. It is to signify genderedness.

History

The term was coined by Callista Se Vens on Facebook in 2020, though the exact date is not known.

Flag

The flag was coined by Gender-Resource on Tumblr on or before July 6, 2020. The yellow, blue, and red (primary colors) are "used to represent precision and exactness." The black and white stripes are intended to represent "specificity; positive or negative, yes or no, true or false, etc."[2]
