Polygenderfluid, often shortened to polyfluid, is a subset of genderfluid and polygender in which one experiences multiple genderfluid identities at the same time, or as being fluid between multiple but not all genders.

History

Polyfluid was coined by Tumblr user kalliepride on November 16th, 2018.[1] The flag was made on the same date.

On June 7th, 2021, Reddit user Few-Gazelle8266 uploaded an alternative polyfluid flag on r/QueerVexillology.[2]

On September 20th, 2020, Reddit user GlazeTheArtist uploaded a comic on r/lgballt with an alternative polyfluid flag, explaining what the term meant.[3]

kalliepride's and GlazeTheArtist's flags do not have any confirmed meanings; kalliepride stating "it’s just a combination of the polygender and genderfluid flags"[1], while GlazeTheArtist states "[the flag design] was more about finding a combo that works on its own, so the color scheme is similar to the polygender one but the arrangement is more like that of the fluid flag."[4]

Few-Gazelle8266 gives meanings to their flag's stripes: Gray representing unaligned genders, pink representing feminine genders, yellow representing neutral/non-binary genders, blue representing masculine genders, and white representing fluidity.[5]
