Padding

Padding refers to the process of applying padding in order to change one's gender expression by altering the appearance of sex characteristics such as hip width, shoulder width, and breast size.

Padding around the genitalia is also referred to as packing. This is generally done by transmen to create male genitalia, although people with other gender identities may do this as well.

Although generally associated with being used by individuals transitioning to the opposite gender, padding can be done by any individual regardless of gender identity, and in any way too, whether it be by only padding a few characteristics and leaving the rest be, or padding a combination of more masculine features (such as bulges) and more feminine features (wider hips, larger breasts, etc).
