Nycteseric is a scenegender identity in the Scene System in which one's gender can be described as a peaceful desert at night. It can feel alive, warm yet coolly calming, and/or peaceful.

Etymology
The term nycteseric comes from desert and a modified version of the Greek word for night, anglicized as "nychta".[1]
