Kasvionan is an identity and umbrella term for identities in which one's gender is centered around plants (inclusive of any kind of plant), and possibly also sunlight, growth, beauty, and/or strength.

Kasvionan is not inherently a xenogender, though it can overlap with other labels.

  • Kasvic: Kasvionan aligned (KAHS-vick)
  • Kasvinine/Kasvinity: Having kasvionan qualities (KAHS-vih-nine & KAHS-vih-nit-ee)
  • Demikasvi: One's gender is partially kasvinine[2]
  • Transkasvinine: One is transitioning to kasvinity, or transgender in a kasvinine way; equivalent of transmasculine/transfeminine[2]
  • Duil: The kasvionan equivalent of boy/girl[2]
  • Fleuri: The kasvionan equivalent of man/woman[2]

History

Both kasvionan flags were designed by Tumblr user creatureboything on September 11, 2022.[1]

Etymology

The term's name comes from the Finnish word kasvi, meaning "plant", and the Scottish Gaelic word ionad, meaning "center".[1]
