Hoenngender

Hoenngender is a pokégender gender identity in which one's gender is connected to the Hoenn region from the Pokémon franchise in some way. This can be the Pokémon that originated in the Hoenn region, Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, or their remakes, etc. The original coining stated that this was exclusive to neurodivergent individuals.

History

The term was coined on December 13, 2020, by Twitter user @miracIemask. The flag was included in the coining post, and was based on the gym leaders found in the Hoenn region.
