Gemigender is a zodiacgender and multigender identity based on the constellation Gemini in which one’s genders feel as though they are opposites to each other but still work together with each other.

History

The term and flag were coined by tumblr user genderarchive and posted by tumblr user pridearchive on Jul 14, 2014.[1]

Flag

The flag's colors are based off the colors associated with Gemini.[1] Purple comes from Gemini’s flower, lavender. Yellow is the color most commonly associated with Gemini. Silver/White comes from Gemini’s birthstone, pearl.
