Cisproximal is a term that refers to transgender people whose lived experience is more closely aligned to that of their cisgender counterparts.[1]

Flag

The flag was made by SignoraCecilia the day of the coining. The flag takes its design from the cisgender flag. However, the flag uses the light blue and pink in the transgender flag to represent cisproximal as a trans identity. The gradient between the blue and the pink as well as the approximation symbol represent proximity.[1]

Etymology

Cisproximal is from two parts: cis, which refers to cisgender and proximal which comes from Latin 'proxima' meaning close or near.
