Calypsian

Calypsian is a gender alignment in the galactian alignment system, referring to non-binary individuals whose gender is androgynous-aligned. A calypsian is someone who has similarities in identity or experience with people who have androgynous genders, and it can also refer to someone who has a complicated but existing relationship with androgynous genders/alignment.

It is distinct from eclipsian, as eclipsian is being simultaneously lunarian (feminine/woman-aligned) and solarian (masculine/man-aligned), and androgyny is a combination of masculinity and femininity. Calypsian can still be combined with eclipsian and other terms.[1]

Common Definitions

calypsian is a term within the galactian alignment system that describes androgynous-aligned people.

i coined this term because i found that eclipsian doesn’t really fit me, as it’s defined as being both m- and f-aligned, whereas my androgyny is a combination of them both, making it something entirely different.

in the same way when you mix red and blue you get a new colour, purple, rather than still red and blue.

of course people can still use eclipsian and any other terms alongside calypsian. there are no rules!
