Altermeteri is a term for people who wish their body were 2D, believe their body should be 2D, and/or feel dysphoria because their body is 3D.

Etymology

Alter as in "alternative" + Meteri as in "to measure".

Altermetiri refers to a person who feels their 3D body is incorrect, and should be 2D.

Altermetiri is not necessarily attached to "Fictionkin"/"Fictkin" or any other fict-gender. It is specifically the feeling that one's body should be 2D.

A person who identifies as Altermetiri is Altermetiric.

Altermetiri was coined by Tumblr user 8prcntmilk on December 14, 2025.[1]
