-Lexic is a suffix for genders that relate to specific words (for example, treatlexic). Not all genders that end in -lexic are lexegenders, as lexegenders are exclusive to neurodivergent individuals while the -lexic suffix is not.

For a comprehensive list of genders that use the -lexic suffix, please see the category -lexic.

History

It is unknown when -lexic was coined or who coined it. The suffix appears to have came into usage sometime in 2021, however there appears to be no true coining post, and instead it is believed that one blog simply started using it and others also decided to.

Some incorrectly credit the coining of -lexic to an anonymous ask on the Tumblr blog neopronouns, however the source for this, while mentioning -lexic as a potential suffix, is for an unrelated concept that appears to eventually use the suffix -lexicon instead.[2]
