Apogender is a gender identity in which one feels not only agender but entirely removed from the concept of gender. Apogender is a subset of agender.

Those who are apogender may not use this term, or possibly any terms at all, to describe themselves. This is due to feeling completely removed from gender and the gender spectrum.

History

Apogender was coined on July 11, 2014 by queerspike, a since-deactivated Tumblr blog[2]

Flag

The apogender flag was created by Tumblr user pastelmemer (currently pastelroswell) on July 10, 2016.[1] The color's meanings are unknown but it has been speculated that the green comes from the agender flag, and the black represents genderlessness.

Etymology

Apo is a Greek word that means away from, separate, or at the farthest point.
