Ponygender
Ponygender is a xenogender in which someone feels an extremely strong connection to ponies, either strongly identifying with them or simply wanting to incorporate them into their gender to better understand their identity. It was made with neurodivergent people in mind, specifically autistic individuals, as well as people who may experience delusions relating to being a pony, or people who experience species-regression. However, anyone may identify as ponygender.
One who may identify as ponygender may also identify themselves "Pegasus", "Unicorn", or "Earth Pony", or simply ponygender on its own.
History
Ponygender was coined by the Twitter user catgirlmechanic on June 4th, 2020. The post is now deleted.
Flag
The flag was created by catgirlmechanic on June 4th, 2020. The colors of the flag have a certain meaning: friendship (purple), love (pink), neurodiversity (white), pegasi (blue), earth ponies (yellow), and unicorns (lavender).
Twitter user KarakasaAhrkaro made three alternate versions of the flag for those who are either Unicorn-aligned, Pegasus-aligned, or EarthPony-aligned.[1]
