Parafluidflux

Parafluidflux or Parafluix is when one’s gender identity is fluid and fluctuates in intensity, but there is something else that is keeping one from completely being the fluid identity they are currently experiencing. The fluid part makes up 51-99% of their gender, while the other 1-49% can be any static gender or combination of genders. The fluid part fluctuates in intensity, making either the fluid part a larger percentage of one’s gender or simply making the static part(s) weaker. Parafluix is under the genderfluix and paragender umbrella.

Some common definitions may include:

1. One's gender is mostly fluix, but not entirely due to being slightly another gender.
2. A gender that is mostly, but not quite or completely, fluix.
3. A gender that is mostly static, but has a smaller part that is fluix. It is the reverse version of the above definitions.

History

Parafluidflux seems to have been coined by Fandom user GreeksAndMagic on March 21, 2021. Later on June 13, Fandom user Rosalind Heks came up with their own definition of the term (see second definition above). That same day, Honk4bees created and added a flag for parafluix. Then on December 13, ryanyflags created an alternative flag for parafluidflux as well as their own interpterion of the definition (see third definition above). On July 23, 2022, Fandom user Draguinyopes45 added their own meaning of Parafluidflux (see alternate meaning above).

Flags + Details

The style of the parafluidflux flag was inspired by the other paragender flags. It has the thin middle stripe being a gradient of the fluidflux flag and the purple is meant to combine the opposite colors of said flag.
