Nebulæn is a xenogender for individuals who perceive their gender identity as similar to a nebula in space: vast, shifting, and composed of multiple colorful and constantly evolving elements. History
Nebulæn was coined by Tumblr user Cé2Lia in 2020. The term "nebulæn" is derived from "nebula" (clouds of gas and dust in interstellar space) and "-æn", an added suffix to emphasize the idea of inclusivity and continuity in gender identity. The nebula symbolizes the complexity and beauty of genders that cannot be defined by binary or fixed terms.
