Kathoey

Kathoey or ladyboy is a gender role in Thai culture which usually describes a feminine person who was assigned male at birth. However some kathoey are intersex. Kathoey may be referred to as a third gender. Some kathoey identify as transvestite men, while others describe themselves as 'a second kind of women.' But for some kathoey is seen as a non-binary identity.
