Inviane is an umbrella for terms that can only be described by a specific image. An inviane gender is called an invigender, and an inviane term described by multiple images is called a mulviane.

Inviane and its terms are not inherently xenogenders, though they can be if that is how one interprets them. Inviane is a very subjective experience and there is no right or wrong way to identify with it. It can be used as a term on its own, or can be added on to other terms using the "invi-" prefix. It is important to note that not all inviane identities are genders, many are general identities that can be applied to gender, orientation, aldernicity, and so on.

History

Inviane was coined on September 24th, 2022, by Tumblr user kenochoric.[1]
