Glowingthing is a gender identity based off of the song by Lemon Demon, "Something Glowing". The gender can best be described by its user as "I can tell it's there by the way it's not quite there."

This line can be interpreted differently by whoever is identifying with it, but might be difficult to do so, as the gender is hard to comprehend. It is usually characterized by a lack of gender or a disbelief in the binary system, even though the user still identifies with some gender(s), but this doesn't have to be the case.

Common Definitions

Deep down, the user feels no attachment/an altered attachment to the gender binary, but feels comfort in expressing themself as if they did. It could be a way of masking to seem 'normal', or the way they were raised.

Focusing too hard on the gender might be stressful, or it might avoid them when thought about. They know it's there, but can't fathom it. Due to this, the user might identify with whatever seems right at the time.
