Agentogender
Agentogender is a gender identity in which one's gender is (or was once) at least partially under one's own control, to any degree. The timing and degree of control is different for different people.
For example, a person who is a man one day, and then is able to choose to be a woman or a non-binary person the next day, could be agentogender should they choose to identify with it. One may also apply the prefix agento- to the specific gender they have chosen (in this case, agentowoman or agentononbinary).
The control that an agentogender person has over their gender identity is not necessarily reversible. For example, an agentoagender person could have chosen to become agender at a specific point in time, but they may not have any choice about whether or not to remain agender now, or they may have a choice only under specific circumstances.
The control that an agentogender person has over their gender does not necessarily have to be extreme enough to change the label that their gender is described by. For example, a multigender person who is able to choose to be more masculine or more feminine for a time could be agentogender, even if they have always been multigender, always will be multigender, and do not have the ability to stop being multigender. Being agentogender is defined by having at least some control over one's gender identity, not necessarily by the ability to change the labels one uses.
Choosing one's external gender expression is not the same thing as being agentogender. Being agentogender is defined by having at least some control over the gender one internally feels oneself to be.
Flags
The agentogender flag was created by Gayle Madwin of QueerByChoice.com and was first posted on the Queer by Choice mailing list on June 23, 2022. The flag uses the same colors as the genderfluid flag, but the stripes are aligned vertically rather than horizontally. According to the discussion when the flag was first posted, the change in direction of the stripes is meant to represent "turning our own genders and/or other people's ideas about them 'on their head', countering the general direction of things, and also launching ourselves upward, symbolizing successful achievement of our desired change in gender".
Further discussion on the mailing list suggested that a comparable rotation of any pride flag 90° counter-clockwise and a swap between the height and width measurements could represent appending the prefix agento- to the identity represented by that pride flag. Some of those flags are shown below.

Etymology
The prefix agento- is derived from Medieval Latin and means "something capable of producing an effect." It expresses the sense of agency that agentogender people feel over their gender identities.
