Duosex is a term for those whose internal sense of sex is both male and female, and was coined exclusively for nonbinary individuals with dysphoria.

Controversy

The term was coined in an exclusionist and transmedicalist context and is associated with exclusionism. For this reason, one may prefer to use terms like multisex, multigenital, salmacian, and enbysex. However, the term can be reclaimed or used for those that do not have dysphoria.

History

The term was coined on Reddit in response to a poll.[2]

The flag was later created by Reddit user M3lonKat on August 29, 2021.[1]

A reclaimed flag and reclaimed term was created by FANDOM user atlasjv sometime around July 2021. This flag is anti-transmedicalist.[3]
