Disgender Flag by Aaaaanne

Disgender is a gender identity characterized by lacking a gender, and not being capable of understanding the concept of gender. People who identify as disgender feel rejected by the idea of gender identities, because it is impossible for them to understand what having a gender feels like. Disgender people know that the concept of gender exists, but feel as though it is distant from their comprehension.

History

Disgender was coined by FANDOM users Aaaaanne and HelenDaMelon on April 16, 2023.[1]

Etymology

"Dis-" comes from the Latin prefix dis- which means "lack of", "opposite of", or "apart".[2]

Flag

The disgender flag is mostly inspired by the genderfluid flag and the non-binary flag. The pink and blue stripes represent femininity and masculinity, the yellow stripe represents non-binary people and the white stripe represents all other gender identities. Finally, the black stripes represent one and their lack of gender, and the dark purple stripes represent the distance of incomprehension that separates one from all gender identities.
