Demiflux, also known as Demigenderflux or Genderpivot is a demigender identity in which one's gender is partially static and partially fluctuating. Some examples of a demiflux experience include:

  1. Part of one's gender (which could be any gender/combination of genders) is static, while the other part fluctuates in intensity.
  2. A combination between demigender and genderflux.
  3. One has a fluctuating demigender(s) as their whole or a part of of their gender identity.
  4. One has two genders; one of the genders remains stagnant while the second gender fluctuates without a predestined path. (Previously known as genderpivot; see history)[6]
  5. One's gender is partially fluid with the other part(s) being static; this differs from demifluid in that the fluctuating gender(s) is partially neutral (ex. one is partially a boy, and partially fluctuates between female and agender).

Demiflux users may choose to identify with umbrella terms such as multigender or multiflux.

History

Genderpivot was coined around 2011;[6] however, the name was changed to demiflux around 2016 because the coiner of genderpivot was controversial.[9] The definition of genderpivot is therefore included under this article's listed experiences.
