Croy

Croy, or croi, is a gender identity in which one's gender may feel masculine or like a boy but never becomes male. One may have a masculine gender expression, and includes tomboys and nonbinary mascs.

Common Definition

“	Being a Croy is where one is not a boy, but may feel like one or express themselves in a way seen as that of a “boy”. Being a Croy can apply to anyone whose gender expression is masculine but whose gender identity never reaches being a “girl”.	”

Etymology

Like crei, croy comes from the secret code conlang "Cregnese". created by Deadmouth Productions. Croy comes from combining "creg" with "boy", or replacing the "b" with "cr", but the identity has come to mean something different over time.

History

Croy was coined on November 16th, 2024 by Fandom user Deadmouth Productions. The flag was included in the coining post. Two alternative flags were coined by Fandom user Flautistfox on December 21st, 2024. A fourth alternate more flag was coined by Fandom User Reficul000 on July 8th, 2025.
