Cetusgender
Cetusgender is a xenogender identity in which one's gender is related to constellations, whale sharks, and the night sky.
History
Cetusgender was coined on February 6, 2021 by Tumblr user cinnamogai.[1]
Etymology
Cetus is a constellation named after a mythological sea monster, sent by Poseidon, the Greek god of the ocean, to punish Ethiopia for the vanity of its queen, Cassiopeia, who boasted that she was more beautiful than the sea nymphs.[2]
Flag
Both the flag and alternate flag for cetusgender were created on February 6, 2021 by Tumblr user cinnamogai.[1] The flag consists of green space themed stripes, swirls representing galaxies, constellations, and a whale shark covering the swirls and constellations. The alternate flag has none of this beyond the same stripes.
