Cenilunar describes a person who has a feminine or woman-related identity or is moving towards a feminine or woman-related identity. This includes, for example, translunar, senslunar, isolunar, cislunar, adlunar, among other gender modalities combined with lunar.[1][2][3][4]

Its counterpart is cenitidal.

History

The term was coined by Tumblr user neopronouns on October 28th, 2023. It was firstly requested as genderlunar,[5][6] but genderlunar was originally an alternate term for translunar,[7][8][9] since translunar was primarily coined as a transgender-specific identity of woman-aligned people in general, derived from lunarian.[10]
