New page

stub
<big><u>Reminder</u></big>: Following these tips are not required for transfeminine people. If you wish, you do not have to follow them word for word or at all. These tips are just here for people who wish to pass as cisgender. Also, don't give up individuality for the approval of others; your transition is yours and yours alone, and so is your gender presentation.

For trans women and other transfeminine people, passing as a women or as feminine may be important, and presenting femininely is part of that. This could be to ease gender dysphoria or to create gender euphoria, or maybe just to present in a way where people will understand their gender. There are many ways to do this.

Hair Cuts
Unisex hair salons or just regular hair salons can be helpful. Trendy fem haircuts can be helpful because the trendiness associates them with femininity. They're trendy for a reason; they look good. Some haircuts to consider are:

* Side Swept Bangs
** Bangs draw attention to the face and the eyes. Straight bangs highlight angular face features, so soft side swept is a better option.
* Layers
** Layers soften facial features while adding texture and volume.
* Waves
** Waves balance out stronger facial features while adding volume and texture.
* Shoulder Length
** Shoulder length hair can work to conceal stronger jawlines and thicker necks.
* Side Part
** Middle parts elongate the face and highlight the nose and chin; side parts are more flattering for the face.
* Highlights
** Highlights aren't a hair style but are still worth mentioning because they brighten and soften the face.

Makeup
A few easy ways to feminize the face is by putting on softer shade soft foundation similar to your skin, and a bit of blush, lipstick and neutral eyeshadow. Try to see what makes your jaw look a little rounder, add highlights where they might be needed.
Clothing
"Traditionally" feminine clothes are pretty easy to come by. First, you'll need to know what size you are in women's clothing. Dresses, flannels, skirts, shoes with heels, and jeans are pretty easy to come by in all kinds of sizes, depending where you shop. Thrifting is always a nice way to grab clothing for cheap. If you do not wish to present hyperfemininely, then hoodies, baggy jeans or sweatpants, and/or sneakers are always an option. Hoodies will take away attention from your chest, and most cis women do not have a visible chest when they're wearing light and baggy clothes like that anyway.

You can wear bras, even if you don't have or want to fake breasts. Something that lots of women do with baggy sweaters and collarless shirts is move the "collar" area so that one shoulder is completely covered and the other is completely visible, showing the bra strap. People won't notice much, or point it out (unless they're a stick in the mud, or you're breaking dress code), but it'll be a thing that their brains associate with femininity and they will perceive it as feminine.

Shaving your legs when you wear ripped jeans or shorts is always a good idea as well. Many cis women shave their legs, as well as being encouraged to. Once again, that can be a subtle feminine trait that nobody really notices but will associate with women.
