A '''Trans woman''' is someone who is both a [[woman]] and [[transgender]]/[[transsexual]]. While trans woman typically refers to an [[Assigned Sex|AMAB]] individual that is [[Trans Woman (MtF)|MTF]], it can also be used to describe any [[Assigned Gender|AGAB]] and any [[Transition|gender-to-gender]].

While [[Trans Woman (MtF)|MtF]] ([[Trans Woman (MtF)|male-to-female]]) may be used for trans women, some trans women prefer to use the term [[Female to Female|FtF]] ([[Female to Female|female-to-female]]) to indicate that their gender identity was never male.
