The name "timorumbrium" comes from the Latin word for fear, "timor", and umbrium derived from the Latin word for shadow, "umbra".

The timorumbrium symbol was created by FANDOM user H0RR0RCOR1C on March 7th, 2023.<ref name=a/> It is featured on the flag as well. The symbol is a combination of an eclipsed sun and two moons, meant to symbolize both Sanguid's connection to the gender's definition and the God of Night's character arc.
