Müllerian individuals have at least two of any of the following features

* a vagina
* a vulva
* a uterus
* oviduct(s)
* XX chromosomes
* an ovary or ovaries
* a cervix
* skene's gland(s)

Or they at least

* are capable of producing ova
* are capable of conceiving
* have estrogen as their dominant, primary hormone <small>(unless they lack all other previously listed features)</small>

Ideally, a Müllerian refers to a [https://lgbtqia.wiki/wiki/Cissex cissex] [[dyadic]] individual who is was correctly [[Assigned Sex|assigned female at birth]]. However, the term can apply to [[Man|male]]-[[Transition|to]]-[[Woman|females]] that are both [https://lgbtqia.wiki/wiki/Transgenital transgenital] & [https://lgbtqia.wiki/wiki/Transhormonal transhormonal], and sometimes [https://lgbtqia.wiki/wiki/CTF CTF] individuals, as phenotypic sex is the primary classification for sex at large. [[Trans Woman (MtF)|Transsexual females]] (that are AMAB) being excluded from the Müllerian category is a [[Transphobia|transphobic]] practice, as it excludes [[Trans Woman (MtF)|trans females]] from [[Woman|female]] categorizations and separates them from the female identity, despite them being both anatomically and psychologically female. Through a sex-binary lens, someone may also identify as Müllerian if they lack the majority of dominant [[wolffian]] traits.

The term is a less-gendered approach to biological identification. The term 'biological female,' while technical and correct, is often used by transphobes to reduce [[Trans Man (FtM)|trans men]] down to their anatomy. Still, should Müllerian not be used for someone outside of a medical, biological or anatomical context.
