And though these terms are not inherently synonymous, in many cases, [[androgyny]] can often be the cause of an individual&#039;s ambiguity, considering that not every androgynous person is ambiguous.<br /> <br /> Ambiguity as a trait is most commonly associated with gender, but because it is easier to determine sex than it is to determine gender, (which can also be interpreted as transphobic) the term is usually shortened to ambiguity.
