Gendersylph

Gendersylph is a non-static identity in which one's gender is fluid/flux/fluix, but their identity is limited to being any xenogender(s) and/or otherwise uncommon identities. One may experience binary identities, but this would be very rare; their gender is almost always outside the binary.

Gendersylph is sometimes considered to be under the genderflor umbrella. Subsets of gendersylph include gendersylpher, gendersylphen, gendersylphet, and demisylph.

History

Gendersylph was originally coined by a Tumblr user who was unfortunately was a transmedicalist troll. However, it has since been reclaimed and can be used as a valid gender identity.

Alternate names genderfaon and genderfen were coined by Mod Fy at the Tumblr blog Beyond-Mogai-Pride-Flags after finding out about the original coining being by a troll on August 18, 2018. The alternate name genderfoan was coined by Admin Opal at the Tumblr blog uncommongenders.
